CROA Voice

CROA acts as a cauldron for the views of its members, combining them together and serving them up to policy makers and central government.

We've an impressive track record of improving the care system and increasing the opportunities children and young people have to scrutinize and support systemic change. Campaign highlights include:

• Lobbying for and supporting the setup of the Office of the Children’s Rights Director in 2001
• Lead role in lobbying for and developing National Standards for Children’s Advocacy Services in 2002
  
• Lobbying for and supporting the review of Office of Children’s Commissioner 2010
  
• Three CICC national best practice conferences since 2008
  
• Nineteen annual conferences for children’s advocates and CROs – supporting Manchester CICC to interview Tim Loughton in October 2010

Working with partners

We work with a number of agencies to campaign for systemic change within the care system, including the Office of the Children's Rights Director, Children's Rights Alliance for England and Action for Advocacy.
